As 2020 comes to a close and we turn the page to 2021, the entire staff of Spring Mill Athletic Club is taking a minute to reflect.
By all accounts, 2020 was a weird year. We will never forget where we were or what we were doing, along with the sports world going dark, kids’ activities canceled, homeschooling and businesses closed, what felt like an inevitable toppling of dominos, it felt like an eternity.
In times of stress, we always worked it out. Literally. So, we weren’t about to let a lockdown stop us. Whether you’ve already started your wellness journey or are planning to get started on January 1, 2021. Be mindful of what your goals are for 2021 both mentally, physically, and financially, I write my goals every December for the following year, which keeps me on track.
Spring Mill Athletic Club Staff is ready to assist you in those 2021 Goals We are dedicated to making your comeback stronger than any setback.
Try these tips to keep fit this winter season.
- Work out. I know it’s easy to lose motivation to keep working out when it’s cold out, it’s dark by 5.
- Eat well. It’s important to make sure that you stick to clean eating.
- Drink lots of water. Being sure that you have proper hydration is always important regardless of the season.
- Cover your head in outdoor workouts. If you do decide to work out outdoors, be sure to wear a hat.
- Get some sun if possible. Studies show that getting your vitamin D is essential.
- Wash your hands. I know this is the standard thing you see in every public bathroom.
- Set a goal for the spring. Have a goal in place as the winter months start so that you can keep it in warmer weather.
- Get a personal trainer or workout buddy. There is no better time to contact one of our trainers. Click here for our program.
- Watch your intake. You must be mindful; a fist full is a good indicator for portion control.
